This is a duck I painted during the pandemic. The all white background is a response to the quarantine and our isolation. The brilliant green of the mallard head is one of my all time favorite colors and I was happy to find a paint that gave me that richness. I love color, playing with color, and watercolor really lends itself to playful color. 

This has been painted on 140 lb cold press paper - the edges are rough by design (deckled) and I tried to not cover that up in framing. The original painting is mounted on a blank canvas then the canvas is screwed to the frame so it is sturdy, there is no glass (glare) and the painting is sprayed with a fixative so it is protected.
